I did some character and scene designs a while ago for a kids comic which was sadly stopped in its infancy. I had only completed these 2 images before the plug pulled.

The client wanted a 4 page comic to accompany their pitch to Honda for the new CRZ.
The client wanted illustrations of 2 explorers; Francis Gregory and George Grey, in the same style as some drawings of other explorers from (and drawn in) the 1800s.
